Kalathappam: is a delicacy from the state of Kerala made of rice flour, jaggery, fried onions or shallots and coconut flakes and baked in a traditional oven.

Achari Murg

This dish is called Chicken Pentagon












Ingredients:

1. Chicken pieces 500 gms
2. Chilly powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Pepper powder 1/2 tsp
Chaat masala powder 1/2 tsp.
Lemon juice 1 tsp
Egg (beaten) 1/2 egg
Yoghurt 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Corn flour 1 tbsp
3. Cooking oil
4. Onion chopped 1/2 cup
Green chilli chopped 2 nos.
Cashew nuts chopped 1 tbsp
Curry leaves Few
Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
5. Tomato paste 1 tbsp
6. Salt to taste
Sugar 1 pinch
Chilly powder 1 pinch
Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp

Method:

* Mix chicken with the ingrediants from No.2 and marinate it for half an hour.
* Next, fry the chicken with the marinate in hot oil and keep it aside.
* In a pan, add ingredients from No.4 and saute until the onions are light brown.
* Add the tomato sauce and cook for two minutes.
* Add the ingredients from No.6 and mix well.
* Now add the chicken and mix well .
* Stir until the chicken is well coated with the masala.
* Remove from fire and serve.
